These paintings are inspired by Mother, who was an avid beach-comber. She used the shells, glass, pottery, and agates that she found as part of her crafts. But she also found old electrical parts and corroded pieces of metal that had washed ashore after a good storm. Everyone else thought they were garbage but I thought there was something beautiful in them. Painting these pieces fills me with joy and brings my Mom back to me. I hope she enjoys them, and I hope you do too.
